First...thank you Billy for the recommendation to go to Island Lake up in the Uintas. Ever since the bridge jumping by Placerville all I wanted to do was jump in some cool water. Ashley and I decided we should invite someone so we called everyone we knew with no success. This is when we realized that we do not know many couples who can drop everything and just go on a hike...we need to work on that. The directions to the trail head were not very clear but we found it with a little extra hiking and some confusion. In the end the lake was beautiful, warmer than the river, and a great day in Utah.

Island Lake
First...thank you Billy for the recommendation to go to Island Lake up in the Uintas. Ever since the bridge jumping by Placerville all I wanted to do was jump in some cool water. Boise not Sawtooths
Ashley and I had a 2 night backpacking trip planned in the Sawtooths. I had bought all the food and all we had to do was pack and leave. Our plan was to go backpacking and then spend some time in Boise before we headed home. We called the day before the trip to see how the trail was and after talking to the ranger station and multiple other sources the trail was covered in four to five feet of snow. Reluctantly we decided to not go backpacking and we headed up to Boise and as usual Boise did not disappoint.
Placerville
Our first adventure was a very strenuous hike to an intense water fall and then to the old mining town of Placerville.
After jumping off this bridge this may have been the number one activity that I wanted to do each day. Bridges, deep clear cold water, summer sun, and a good height. Sounds good.

We were both a little overexcited about this Veltex.
Boise Art
Basketball every night!
Classy Biking
Mini Golf
Boating until we hit a log and I just got to be pulled behind the boat. Good weather though.
Lee's Birthday
We are much more excited than we appear.
San Francisco
Note to self...San Francisco in July can be cloudy, cold, damp and drizzly and that the pants you have worn the last two winters and complained of them slipping off your hips or area where you are anatomically supposed to have hips will probably continue to slide off with your pockets full of a camera, wallet, keys, phone and Ashley's phone and get worse every day until the point that all you want to do is go shopping for pants instead of sightseeing. This may have happened, but did not hamper our experience of eating great food, enjoying the different areas of San Francisco, and sight seeing. We had Mexican to Burmese to old fashion American home cooking which all amazed my taste buds, surprised me, and made me wonder how Ashley and Amy are able to survive the food. Anyways it was a great time except that Billy did not come and left me hanging with the girls.
