God Bless America

Everyone knows I love the summer time. How could you not? The nose thing put a bit of a damper on my July/summer. I haven't been biking since the incident.  Not proud of that, but I don't think I would be very proud of ruining my nose job that I got last week either.  For those of you that are wondering, I'm doing just fine.  I've looked pretty stupid wearing a splint on my nose, but I figured a week of embarrassment is worth a lifetime of beauty. The worst part of the whole surgery was when my uvula got slightly necrotic (I'm guessing from the breathing tube they used during surgery), I couldn't really eat much for a few days, and then the tip just fell off and I'm fine. Who needs it anyway? No really, you don't need it.
Enough about that. I'm pretty tired of talking about it anyways. The 24th of July was a blast this year just as it was last year. That is probably because we kind of recreated it.  You can revisit our post from this time last year if you feel the need.  We shoved a lot of things into a day and had a hiking schedule that forced us to exert slightly more energy than we really wanted to but it was great fun and we proved to the forest rangers that we are in fact as fast as we think we are.  First, we hiked up to Silver Lake in American Fork Canyon. Not nearly as much water this year in the lake, but still one of my favorite hikes.

We told Lindsey and Jace that we would put up pictures of them to so they can just refer people to our blog when they want to know about their lives. It was a good idea really.  Hence the pictures of just Lindsey and Jace. They can repay us somehow.
After getting spectacularly dirty on that hike we cruised up to the Timp Caves. It had been quite sometime since Lindsey and I had been and the boys had never been.  It was nice to be cool and to get a mini lesson on earth's geology.  Plus, they are pretty cool. Of course the camera doesn't capture that coolness very well.

True Asian style. Not being discriminatory. Promise.

Afterwards we would like to have revisited Boondocks and some mini golf, but time didn't allow it so we just went straight to a movie.  Inception. You should see it. Happy 24th. Love those pioneers. Love America.
